I would first like to welcome you and thank you for visiting my site, “Contending for the Faith” (www.mikehildreth.wordpress.com). This site is devoted to teaching the truth of God’s Word and is an extension of my work as a preacher and teacher of the Gospel.
Knowing that this present world has a great tool for communication, I strongly believe that it should be used by us to communicate the message of the Word to others. The internet is something that has the potential of being a wonderful ministry tool.
This “blog” contains articles that I have written in response to frequently asked questions of a spiritual nature. I am addressing certain issues that have been difficult for many brethren in the church. I hope these lessons and studies can help you in your personal walk with God in His Kingdom. These can also can be something you can print out and use in lectures, Bible studies or sermon notes. If you have any particular questions or suggestions for topics that could be dealt with on this blog, please feel free to contact me. My e-mail is rimando1234@yahoo.com.

This is a good start, Mike. You made some posting on the 10th, 13th and 14th of this month—three days of Feb, they would say— and now you’ve got 34 hits!
Keep it up. Keep venting out what’s inside you.

For one who speaks the truth and preaches nothing but truth and stands up for what is righteous and right, persecution ALWAYS is his lot, criticism ALWAYS looks at him and at his work in an effort to find more faults. Critics and detractors never stop, and their abominable persevering quality too is admirable, and I admit that. They may sprout like mushrooms everywhere; infest your being like viruses; hide someplace like spywares, and keep pestering you, making living difficult sometimes.
I have passed that way, Mike. Here are the INGS have made me survive.
TrustING God.
IgnorING the critic.
ForgivING the critic.
SurpassING the goodness I did yesterday.
WishING that the rains and the winds of change will blow my troubles away.
HopING for heaven
Keep on.
